Garden Party rug - pewter
Beautiful flowers and foliage, inspired by 19th century American
hooked rug designs, this collection is composed of 100% wool and utilizes the
centuries old technique of heavy, hand hooking. First, the canvas cloth is put
onto a frame, then the design of the rug is stenciled on the canvas. The artisan
uses a hooking device and follows the pattern, starting with the smallest accent
color and continuing until the entire surface of the rug is totally covered.
