Redware GB Bottle
Long ago, beer (Ginger Beer, to be exact) wasn't in a clear glass bottle. It was stored in stoneware bottles in Mid-19th century America.   Usually a bottler's name, perhaps, a date or city was incised into the clay.  This bottle is approximately 7" tall.

Hand-wash your redware and allow it to dry thoroughly. A paste made from baking soda rubbed gently on the affected area will remove any staining. Because redware remains slightly porous, pieces which are to hold liquids for any length of time should sit on a trivet or saucer. The glaze is lead-free.
