Shaker Clock
This simple yet stunning clock with a pendulum is a copy
of one made by Isaac Youngs in 1840. He was one of very few Shaker clock makers
and worked at the Shaker colony in New Lebanon, New York. The clocks were kept
in common rooms and dining halls as they banned watches and deemed them an
unnecessary indulgence Shown in a red finish, it features a face with
Roman numerals and measures approximately 30" high by 13" wide x 5 inches deep.
