Spoon Box - circa late 1800's
Reproduced from an original found in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The spoon box was used in the late 1800's and was popular because large families needed sizeable amounts of silverware at their meals. The box could be stored easily in a drawer and then just carried to the table. Thus setting the table was a lot easier. The return of these to present day could sure make life a whole lot easier. Shown in colonial blue, this box measures approximately 5" high by 11.5" wide x 8.75 inches deep.
